Kuopio, Finland and Vilnius, Lithuania, September 28th, 2015. Experimentica Ltd. (Finland), Ferentis UAB and State Research Institute Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (Department of Nanoengineering), Lithuania, were awarded a 534 364.00 € funding from the Eurostars programme to develop synthetic human-like corneal models as tools to aid eye drug assessment and screening, and reduce animal testing. The project starts on January 4th, 2016 and will run for 24 months.

Eurostars is a funding instrument that supports R&D of innovative SMEs in order to aid the development of products that will improve the daily lives of people around the world. Eurostars is co-financed by EUREKA member countries and the European Union Horizon 2020 Framework Programme.
