Xavier Ekolle, PhD
Associate Director, Histology
Dr. Ekolle has a strong experience is several neurodegenerative disease models with over 40 peer review publications and extensive expertise in small animal electrophysiology, brain surgeries, immunohistochemistry, advanced microscopy techniques, and image analysis. In 2023, he joined Experimentica Ltd as Senior Scientist and in 2026 was appointed to role of Associate Director, Histology.
Dr. Xavier Ekolle Ndode-Ekane earned his Ph.D. in neuroscience from the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) in 2012. He continued his post-doctoral research at the A.I. Virtanen Institute of Molecular Sciences, UEF, before earning the prestigious Finnish Academy Research Fellow position in the Epilepsy research Laboratory, UEF, 2014 – 2017. He was the UEF site manager of the international multicenter NIH-funded Centers-without-Walls project, EpiBios4Rx, 2017 – 2022 and currently serve as Adjunct Professor of Translational Neurosciences in UEF.
