Dr. Jukka Puoliväli earned his PhD in Neuroscience in 2000 from the University of Kuopio, Finland. He continued his post-doctoral research at the Department of Neuroscience and Neurology at the University of Kuopio, before joining the Gladstone Institutes of Neurological Disease at UCSF in San Francisco, where he worked as a post-doctoral researcher from 2002 to 2004.

With over 50 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Puoliväli currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Behavioral Neuroscience at the University of Eastern Finland, Kuopio.

After returning to Kuopio in 2004, Dr. Puoliväli spent more than 20 years in various roles at Charles River Discovery Research Services, gaining extensive experience in the CRO field. In 2025, he was appointed as Managing Director of Experimentica Ltd.
