From 2020 to 2023, Dr. Lelytė was awarded with a Ph.D. fellowship under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions-funded programme, where she focused on the development of a novel preclinical model of diabetic retinopathy. As part of the fellowship, she completed a research secondment at Loyola University Chicago in the autumn of 2021. Dr. Lelytė has a track-record of peer-reviewed publications and has contributed numerous scientific abstracts to international conferences in the field of vision research.
